Results of some 668 students who wrote the 2016 NOV-DEC examination is being held by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) for engaging in malpractices.
A statement issued by WAEC explained that the results will be released after the Council concludes its investigations into the cases of malpractices.
“The results of 668 candidates alleged to have been involved in various examination malpractices have been withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into the cases of malpractices. The withheld results will be released as soon as the Council concludes its investigations,” the statement said.
WAEC entreated accredited educational institutions to be vigilant and scrutinise the certificates that are presented by students before they are admitted.
“Forged results can be detected by the confirmation/verification system or via www.waecgh.org,’ it stated.
The council has also released the results of 128,707 private candidates who sat for the WASSCE.
